With Darksouls the problem was never really a VAC ban per se, but a "soft ban" as they call it. Which basically turns off the multiplayer aspects of the game for a period of time (infinite in some cases).

If you want to avoid that, make sure you're in offline mode and/or kill yourself when invaded.

I noticed the trainer doesn't have a soul memory edit to it, so you're more likely to be caught by randomly adding souls than you are by using items to get souls. Just another Gee-Whiz info gem for you.

Basically, As long as you don't use the trainer which is about "gain high amount of stuffs" or "have too over powered status" then you wouldn't get soft ban right?

So this should be okay to just use infinite HP whenever you are about to die from boss then.

Wait, guys will i be banned if i use the DS3 trainer? even if i played in offline mode? and lets say i played in offline mode and then turned off my trainer and went online, will i still be banned?

What if i only just used unlimited health and nothing else? would that still get me banned even if im playing offline?

Nobody can definitively tell you that you won't be THIS or you won't be THAT.

You take the responsibility of using these trainers on yourself when you do so. Have soft-bans come out of using trainers for the Dark Souls franchise? I'm sure they have. Will you even notice? Probably not unless you're trying to do Coop.

But, have VAC bans come from using trainers for Dark Souls 2? Probably... but, that would take some pretty irresponsible and stupid abuse of the trainer in online situations where you would have a leg-up over other players (which is specifically outlined in the EULA for Dark Souls 3) which would result in you being reported, having screenshots submitted to developers, etc.

Do they have the same lax detection for trainers Dark Souls 3? We have no idea yet... You kind of go into this with the assumption that you'll end up in single player mode either way.

Ello. I can say in confident you wouldn't get ban using the Trainer offline as I have done full gameplay for DS I&II and so far it's the same for Dark Soul 3. Their wouldn't check anyone offline as it doesn't affect online gameplay. Tho I can't promise if you take your offline character online and start playing with unusual stats and high amounts of items such as weapons upgrade etc, even without using Trainer I have read people still get ban using CE(CoSMOS) to max out stats and items.

If your planning to play online, play it safe. Turn off all the options when either in PvP or around other players such as being summon or summoning helper.

    Hope that help! 😋

How do you actually go offline tho, it doesn't have a nice convenient option when logging in like Bloodborne had... Or do I go offline with steam?

I just hate unknowns is all, bugs me hah

Start Steam in Offline mode, and choose Launch in Offline in Dark Souls NETWORK Options.

Bacon nailed it... DS2 was primarily a check against soul level and souls collected serverside. That was the clearest indicator of a "cheater". Always best to use an item mod to use your collected soul vessels that grant souls than arbitrarily adding them. If it were me, I wouldn't use any other stat padder in the trainer, even offline mode. Towards the end of my play time with DS2 I did abuse quite a bit of the trainer and did not see any real impact from it.

I haven't touched the "max item" option yet due to the probability that the cap for any given item may be above what the dev has set for it = instflag in my mind. Infinite item use would be much nicer to avoid this...

I'm honestly glad softbans will hopefully be more prominent. The amount of high level chars with low soul levels was too rampant in DS2 lol...
