Activating the trainer makes the game CTD.
Tried activating it on the main menu and also after loading a save.

The clipboard copy of the trainer's error is:

I'm attaching the current game file so that it may help in troubleshooting.

The current version of the game on Steam is 1.08.12.

If the trainer is causing the game to crash then the update is the likely issue here.
Only fix for that would be a trainer update.
So you would have to post a file update request for us.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.
