ok so I deleted my trainer. again.
downloaded the latest trainer
ran trainer
ran witcher 3 (we have steam version)
loaded savegame that was submitted
tested XP and Level, both working
started gwent game
pressed gwent option
no crash
won the round
turned gwent off
no crashes
attacked several different creatures with several different savegames.
no crashes
trainer is current and working tested here.

make sure you
1) delete your trainer
2) download the latest trainer

Thank you Chaosrealm, it worked perfectly. No more random CTDs for now

I honestly have no idea then. It's just those two options that will not work.

I even deleted all mods just in case it had the smallest chance of that being the cause.
Antivirus was off and it was already an exclusion. Ran in admin. Activated and launched the trainer in different ways. Pressed Add Experience and Add Level differently in game to see if that would work. Verified game cache. Deleted the trainer 3 times and downloaded the June 1st trainer each time with only those two options not working. Even changed locations in game to try add level. Nada.

I've had no issues with the trainer. Have not tried the XP or the Level Up options because I don't really need them as I'm high leveled already.

I have tried the supposed fix (GOG equivalent) and the game still crashes randomly. Mostly around the western part of Toussaint. It's a tad frustrating as there's quests that keep taking me there and it keeps CTD all the time. It's the latest trainer too. Very random

Nope/ Verified game files (some file was dowloaded), deleted the trainer (for a 5th time already), downloaded a new one. Still I have the same CTD (mostly in Toussant)

what we need is

1) repeatable crash that can be reproduced
2) a savegame right at the point where we can test the repeatable crash

otherwise it's impossible to 'fix' this since we aren't having the same problem

I keep getting the following error, not sure if the trainer or the game code is to blame but have done the following:-

On the way to the shore (marker may still be active) monster nest nearby this is when it goes pete tong.


clean install of gtx 980 drivers made no difference restarted after install
turned of nvidia streaming made no difference
run the game with trainer activated but no options selected game ok
ditto but selected f11 toggled on/off game ok
run game with numpad 6 only game ok
run game with numpad / only game ok
run game with numpad 0 only game ok
run game with all above options on game ok
run game with numpad 1 1 press selected game ok
run game with numpad 1 multiple presses game will crash at random intervals

Used CTRL-H to disable trainer game still crashes after num 1 pressed multiple times
