with compatabilitie tool running FTL is still crashing the instant you press F1 and not even activating the trainer
however i am getting the initial "activated" from the compat tool
I just looked at the FTL game .exe and the game itself has patched. crashes on FTL are not due to steam but are due to the game .exe being changed. there will need to be a new trainer. unfortunately I have had to reverse the game and recode that trainer twice from scratch due to the developer recompiling using a new SDK. I don't plan on making the trainer for a third time on that game. perhaps another trainer maker will take it up, but I am done with it.

Good Job, PWizard. Keeping on top of things. BTW, Avast antivirus at one time was deleting steam games speaking of steam. I just started using avast free version again and it works fine with steam and cheathappens trainers.

It wouldn't surprise me if some AV's started detecting STEAM as a virus as they are now injecting their code into Windows system files like kernel32.dll just like a real virus or rootkit might do.
Actually avast was deleting a couple steam dlls a few months back.
Yes it was, I can verify this as it happened to me with Steam and Avast.
I'm really terrified they'll start busting your VAC status for cheating in single-player games.
Thanks to the CH people for all you guys do.
isn't it great to be terrified of a company that holds all your games and you don't actually 'own' them?
best,
Cal
While I recognize the totally rhetorical nature of this question, the answer is "No." It's even worse to feel powerless to change it because Valve has a ....load of money and power while I've just got a 400-game collection that I don't own and which could be taken from me at any time even though I go OFFLINE MODE to play games with trainers. For goodness' sake, this is bull.... right here.
Thank you for responding. I can confirm at least one game as "totally working" - Bioshock: Infinite. Works like a charm. I haven't tested the others, on account of there are hundreds of them. But the fact that even my GoG game collection, if launched from Steam, now has this "FEATURE" is so much bull.... that I can't even begin to see the ground. Up to my knees. And extremely, lividly mad.
