I don't care what people say about Nirvana.
They were the fore-front of grunge. They brought that sound out into the mainstream and brought out bands like Pearl jam,Alice in Chains And soundgarden.

They brought out this "new" sound and it blew the!@#$ up!
Nirvana is and STILL IS one of the greatest bands ever.

Look up Kurt Cobains' Docu about a son.

And,to even mention "hole" in this thread is just plain

JK/man,but seriously that "band" owes it's "success" to Nirvana.

Actually nirvana and pearl jam broke out about the same time and regardless all four have a diffrent sound and style all togather.

The one man that EVERY grunge band on this poll and in general owes it's sound and possibly success to is Jimi Hendrix.
