I played the first couple of missions, and so far its not so bad it is easing myself into the game.
Certainly bridges the gap between Aliens and Alien 3, and DLC to come, the fun is of course on MP playing when you co-op with some peeps.
I have everything maxed in terms of settings with FXAA and it looks fine to me, the faces are more bumpy and detailed, from stubble etc.
What confuses me is How hicks is alive. Since he is dead in Aliens three when the four of them Riply and the kid. bishop and hicks. So on that part is confuses me. Oh and this FXAA why cant they just say Anti Alising x 1 x 4 etc etc.
I'm starting to come to terms with this mess. Hardest difficulty removes your hud, the movement sensor makes some sense now, and xenos don't die from one distant shotgun blast anymore. Still ****ed off that the acid does no damage. Well I guess I have to pretend that it does .

No idea what your tastes for graphics are but I'm running everything on High (I think it's high) and I think the graphics look pretty good. Kinda looks like a CoD clone, I'd say like MW2 graphics, but I think it's still pretty good.
Nothing beats a game that's centered in the same universe right after Aliens movie.
Bought it, read reviews before it unlocked, uninstalled it. Perhaps I'll change my mind sometime, and actually try it.
In the meantime, to those arguing about what's more important, great graphics or great gameplay;
Why, is it too much to ask for both these days? After all, we have the technology, and the business sure have the experience. In short, anything less is not a great game. It might have been in 1993 or 2003, but not 2013.
I agree with Fawkrin......loaded da game and my graphics cards started laughing so hard I had to remove it before one of them lost their bowels and shorted out my gaming computer.........
