This is typically the result of something interfering with the trainer's ability to hook into the game. Usually AV, firewall or other security software or not right clicking and run as admin on the game and trainer.

hmm, ill say that i never had any issues with civ trainers until today. worked splendid 11 hours ago before i wen t to sleep after a 6 hour marathon game. then when i went back to continue, the trainer no longer works as intended, as it activates and de-activates. i don think "anything" has really changes on my system while i slept to make this change occur, but it must have yes?.
Things just dont start to not work for no reason afterall. so i went thru the steps, made admin rights on every game program/trainer exe i could, excempted stuff in the antivirus and firewall.. not tat it should be needed. but the issue remains.
Its not a major issue i suppose, but it is a mind boggling thing haha. and i hate not knowing why things happen. im going to have to try and figure this thing out or ill go insane.
hmm though it seems this issue is older then mine, so its bnot a sneak patch doing it. and a patch never made this particular error before anyways. No, must be something else then the game/trainer itself i suspect. mayhaps something external that has auto updated recently? could it be some win7 patch that frelled things abit?
also, as far as i can tell its only the civ 5 trainer tho.
tho i must test that..

I've tried everything suggested. Downloaded both of the programs and installed. Admin mode for game and trainer. Offline mode for Steam. Online mode for Steam. Everything. This is the only trainer I'm having this issue with. Every other trainer ont he site I've downloaded works as intended.
