I've used several different smartphones over time and I was just wondering what platform you guys thought was the best.
I'm personally a fan of the Android system. (Yeah, here I go on a Google trip again ) Of all of the ones I've used, it's been the most stable for me, offers the best options, and is the smoothest. Not gonna lie, I kinda miss having iTunes on my phone, but it's not a big enough factor to make me go back to Apple.
That's true. As much as I love the Android platform, I think having a Windows 7 based phone would make it a lot easier to switch back and forth between using my PC and my phone. I also think it would be much easier to connect the phone and computer to use file sharing and features like that.

yea...it would improve connectivity between our pc/laptop and our phone making file sharing a whole lot easier. i think Nokia is coming out with Win based smart phones by year end. not sure but a strong possibility.

There are Windows Phone 7 smartphones. For instance, the Samsung Focus, Dell's phone and the HTC 7 Pro.
Granted, they're business-oriented smartphones but smartphones they are nevertheless.
Personally, for a smartphone OS I'm partial to Symbian. Yeah, it's old and ungainly but it's totally open source (unlike Android, despite their claims it's not truly open source and what is open source is almost constantly on a closed update period, see: lawsuits against Google).
