From what I gather, the record label or whatever does things a little different.
Instead of scouting for talent, the child/parents/whoever pay a ton of money for the record label to write a song and for the child to sing it. They make the video, etc. Only the good ones (and Rebecca Black, apparently) get called back.
I agree that the song is bad, boy the lyrics are all nonsensical!
But the point is that we aren't the audience. All the pre-teen kids are! Same applies to Justin Bieber, but he is a 16 year old GUY which makes him liable to trolling.
This girl seems like a generic Disney singer to me, so its better to ignore her instead of having posted abuses that would do nothing but scar children of her age.
Its good to see that she is being strong and is willing to face majority of people against her song. So I respect her for that. Hell, I even respect Bieber for going through the trolls.

I don't "hate" the song, its actually quite a catchy beat regardless of the lyric or her voice. However I make fun of it because the lyrics/voice are so flawed, its bad in a good way which makes it funny. Plus this is the internet, people show their true A-Hole-ness when they know they can't be touched over a computer.
