I just started the game and it works for me. no crash or anything im on the second chaos mish if that changes anything but yea all the option work for me.

I think it may have something to do with the race that is chosen. Those having problems, please try starting a new game with a different race and see if it makes a difference. Also let us know which race you are using if it is crashing on you. In some of the previous games one or more races had completely different resources and that might be causing an exception crash.
I just tested the trainer on Steam version on Win7 x64 with Imperial Guard and it worked fine.
