Hi there, I know, the last thing you want to see is another topic about the trainer not working. But it seems the trainer is bugged, or maybe the game is bugged, idk ... anyway for now it's not working. I tried both versions (DX9 and DX10) with the version of the game (DX9 and DX10) and both crash to desktop as soon as the game loads, well at least if you want to start a mission, the menu works fine. Yes I did check the board before, and yes I did check the trouble guide, no help so far. Yes I did launch the trainer first, and even tried launching the game first and then the trainer. Neither works.
If it helps ... I am running Win7 x64 Ultimate, with enough power to run the game smooth, only thing I wanted was no time for the Secret Missions ... seems that was too much to ask for. Bummer ... if I had payed for this (I mean the trainer), I am sure would be ****ed.
This is usually caused when you have the wrong version of the trainer with the game. I know you read the trainer trouble-shooting guide but do this again

Make sure you have the right version. If the trainer is written for v1.1 and your game has been patched to v1.2 then this is a good reason for the trainer to fail. Trainers are looking for very specific places in memory or the executable and updates tend to shift these locations around. Many times you can reinstall the game back to the level needed to get the trainer to work. Otherwise you will need to wait for a new version of the trainer to be released.
I am sorry, I forgot to mention that in the first post. I have the unpatched retail version of the game, so I would assume, the v1.0 trainers should work, but they don't. So either the game is bugged, my rig, or the trainers. Since I can assure my rig is OK, and the game runs fine without trainers, I would assume that the problem lies within the trainer. Now I know, how hard it is to write software, but I really would like to get this one to work.
Yeah well, I tried giving them admin rights, no luck. Tried running them in compatibility mode (Vista, XP), no luck as well.
Guess I have to live with it, that no working trainer is availible. Although it seems somehow that trainer worked, well, at least in the video availible here.
