Normally I don't post much either, kind of the silent lurker for the most part, but I agree with the general sentiment of the thread so far, Blizzard shouldn't care about anything that goes on as long as it has no impact on multiplayer aka other players experience. If I want 200000 minerals in the campaign, I should darn well be able to do it, it affects no one but me.
I would recommend that people also install a program like Peer Guardian 2, Peer Block (newer), etc. These programs with the right lists may prevent your program from send data that you don't want it to.
I think that Any program like Peerguardian would still show up as trying to interfere with SC2 code and would still result in a ban or something, either that or the game would refuse to run.
Well, I just to make sure people know that we do everything in our power to PREVENT this type of thing from happening to our users. People like Kelsat and h4x0r simply don't care if their trainers work in MP and/or if your account gets banned in the process. We spend extra time on just about every title making sure that MP modes de-sync or are not affected by our trainers. Sometimes it causes our trainers to be delayed by a day or two but we feel it's important and will continue to do it for all new games, Blizzard or otherwise.

Small firewall programs will not appear as interfering. If Blizzard receives anything it would be a connection timeout error. Just like if your internet went down while playing.
I have been using Peer Block with SC2 since day one and haven't had any trouble running it. But I can tell you that when the game runs the number of blocked connections jumps.
PW, would the site be interested to take blizzard to court over this matter if enough funding is gathered through "case" donations?
If proof is shown that CH trainers do not work in multi-player games then Blizzard have nothing to defend themselves with.
As multiplayer hacking is something that gives an unfair advantage over other player in multiplayer battles. And since having an extra picture or two doesn't give an unfair gameplay advantage; their draconic banning has no basis and thus illegal.
I think the safest way, beside not using any trainers, is to start SC2 and simply choose a guest account. This disables any achievements that could be earned and restricts the game to singleplayer only. Afterwards disconnect the internet, just to be sure. So there isnīt even the slightest possibility to interfere with any kind of multiplayer related stuff.
