Because he seems to be the most realistic superhero in the industry. And Batman has a tough personality, not like the cheesy personality Spiderman has.
And also the foes he faces are the worst (By that I mean best) I have ever seen!

He's a capable superhero, but there is very little expansion on the character. He's always the same guy doing the same thing.
To quote a game critic, "How can you expand on a character that responds to everything by punching it. Or deploying Bat-anti-thing-spray. THEN punching it."

On the contrary. Batman is not superior whatsoever to the common man except maybe in martial arts training, and like I've already said, his checkbook. You imply that his superior wits, inteligence, and thought process is what got him all his cool little gadgets when he clearly relieves them from his own company. He didn't create them. He had no input with them whatsoever, except the funding. He is no better than you or I. He's just a man. A boring man with too much money and time. I don't exactly remember who said it, but they were exactly right when they said he was just a renegade cop.
And by the way, correcting someone when there were no corrections needed is not very becoming. -Toastman
I'm not going to debate with you any further on the matter, Toastman. I'll just say that I still think you're wrong and strongly disagree with you on some things. As for correcting the word you used, it wasn't meant to be offensive, just giving you the word you were looking for. As for whether or not it's "becoming" I don't care. It's who I am. I'm sure I make spelling, grammar, and other types of errors and I welcome correction. That's one of my many quirks I guess.
