Tech Unlocked For All Players

This has been an ongoing issue throughout all releases of this trainer, but everytime the F5 Unlock All Research option is used, it unlocks all researchable tech the next turn. As others have pointed out, the trading techs and Xenotechs don't work (I suspect because each of these techs is either prompted by a unique event - meeting an alien race - or results in a unique prompt such as the trading sector message you get after researching FTL Economics.) I have learned to live with this. I just research FTL Economics and Raiding first, then scout out all the other races to meet them and research their Xenotechs before activating the F5 cheat. What I recently noticed, however, is that the F5 Unlock Research cheat applies to all players in the game, not just you. And while I could learn to live with AI players getting Antimatter techs at the same time I do, it comes with the nasty side effect of all of the AIs being unable to talk with one another (since they tend to not research Xenotechs early). Even worse, some AI players never even set up trade routes. It really takes a lot of fun out of the game.
I have thoroughly tested my findings on both the vanilla game as well as with the trainer. Whenever the F5 option is used, the AI players are always stunted for the duration of the game. Is there any way to make the F5 option only work for the player character? And if not, is there anyway to unlock the Xenotechs and Economic techs properly?
damn, that sux, well at least we have unlimited funds to boost the speed of research.
