we don't 'run' to work on this game as it has over 50 code areas and triggers to manipulate in each patch. likely i won't even update dx10 this time, since they are patching this game 2 times a week. i cannot support this game much longer if they are going to keep re-arranging the deck chairs to thwart MP hackers, which our trainer ISNT designed for. unfortunately our SP trainer has to be updated each time they update the game for MP use. i wish they would make 2 .exe for games like this so we wouldn't get trapped in the 'update the .exe every week to mess up MP hackers'...

Ok, did numerous tests and can confirm if anything done in relation to steam while the trainer is active it will crash the game. This means events such as gaining an achievement will crash the game. Anything up to that point will work fine.
Am going to test if this is in relation to using Steam Cloud as it would trigger a save event and try to save to the cloud. Will disable cloud and report back with results.
Steam cloud didn't seam to matter, seams directly related to obtaining an achievement. Well that sucks, guess will have to try to actually beat the game in Nightmare mode, lol.
no idea. i am not updating the trainer any further unless the game patches again for the upteenth time. 70+ code triggers is enough for me. i could perm-rape the game code but then i would be no better than the crackers and thieves who post these games online for free and you would require a separate .exe which would likely not work with steam anyways...
we have the ONLY working trainer for steam and apparently it crashes when you make an achievement, which is likely another whole set of triggers. *sigh*
anyways, i RE-played 2 full storylines of the marine campaign and one storyline of the alien campaign before posting the trainer so i have no idea what happens if you get achievements, etc.
