DLC causing game to crash on Mass Effect 2 PC Message Board - Page 2

hi guys i think we need an update to the trainer as using DLC causes crashes. any ideas

Just the same...

overlord DLC + trainer 1.02 = instant crash
overlord DLC + trainer 1.01 = no effect

I repeat, PWizard has already said he will not be making trainers for all the DLC. If you have no DLC and the trainer is crashing your game look here: Link

ok guys thanks for the advice. i tried runnig the game without the trainer and it still crashed.... and bioware tell me its my pc not being up to the task. 3.2ghz quad core 800mhz 4gb of ram 2x 8800gtx cards in SLI (out of SLI too) and a 750gb hdd. hmm not sure about the advice there

i beg to differ. i'm using all DLCs with my game version at 1.01 and using trainer for the same version. i had just one random crash but other than that my game and trainer r running fine.

ok how do i get steam to not update it to 1.02 when it downloads it strait away?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
Can you specify when it crashes?

ah i solved it. its either a temp or SLI issue. opened case and got a fan pushes more air at it, and turned off SLI now its working ok
