From what I can tell Israel justified their actions by claiming they acted in self defense. Take into account that more recent reports have conflicted with these statements saying the activists had no significant weaponry which would lead you to believe that this was done as a deterrent.
I personally think it's unjustified, even in war prisoners have rights but these were just civilians so it's hard to justify murder in any sense.

He's not saying he supports what happen, just that you shouldn't be stupid enough to risk you're own ass to try to change a part of the world that will never change.
Like those aid workers that get beheaded in Afghanistan. I fee bad for them but why the hell would you go there? You can't change the underlying reason that area is a hellhole, so you can't be surprised when something bad happens.
I think Israel didn't have to exterminate a ship crew but I'm not surprised it did happen. The Gaza strip always has, is, and always will be in turmoil. Nothing that happens there would surprise me, which is why I'd never go within a 1000km of the place.

You know for us saying that "why risking my own ass to change a part of the world that will never change" is mostly like giving up, which most people have already done.

Funny how all these different views apppear depending on what media people are listening to.
I watched a video released of the incident, it was recorded from another ship nearby, and it clearly shows Israeli commando's being attacked by people on the ship as they landed on deck. The people are weilding clubs or batons and it was not self defense as the commando's weren't even properly on their feet, let alone firing any weapons.
It was incredibly stupid to attack the commando's while saying you're part of a 'peaceful' mission.
It was unfortunate people got killed, but if that was their intent they would have just sunk the ship without boarding it, or killed everyone instead of around a dozen.

How long have countries around the world been sending aid to Africa? And what do we have to show for it? Nothing.
Because sending aid does one thing, maintain the balance of death and poverty, it changes nothing. The underlying problem of corrupt governments and rebel groups is what needs to change, without that nothing else will change.
Until Israel and Palestine decide to stop fighting each other all the aid being sent there is doing exactly what African aid does, nothing. Someone gets food today so they can die tomorrow.
I know that sounds bad, but it's the truth, most people just don't want to hear it because it shoots down the idea that they can make a difference.

It's different here, it's not like we want to do it for charity or w/e, this issue is not just between Israel and Palestine, it's between Israel and all the other Arabic countries (mainly). You know I'm Palestinian, or actually my father is, my grandparents moved from Palestine to Jordan in the 50s, and the same thing for MANY people around the world, 45% of the Jordanian popularity are originally Palestinians.
And not just because of that, Palestine is important to Arabs in cultural ways and Muslims in religious ways, even important to christian Arabs.
I know it sounds like I'm trying to change the subject, but it's not like helping another country because we feel sorry for them.

wow all I said it was wrong to do it for a really good reasons. one of those are it was out of my country jurisdiction boundary. (that is what I heard from the news) It was wrong and in the same time somewhat right, and well the call was made. I can't believe that my country would do something stupid, but it is hard time in my side... there is a possibility of a nuclear race (maybe even war). I hope it won't happen and I hope that one day this fighting will stop. for now all there is to is to wait and see (we can make a change but we need numbers to do it, unfortunately we don't have that number).

Israel commando's boarded the ship in international water, those people were entitled to resist the boarding.
