I like the idea of them considering my only personal computer is an 18 inch home entertainment laptop that I can't carry anywhere. The size of them is pretty appealing to me, but otherwise, I'm fairly Meh about it. Too small for me, and I'd prefer to save the money for a laptop that I'll enjoy.

i think its a very good idea..but Dhamps is right..they shouldn't give a netbook..the keyboard is so small it'll harm ur wrists when u have to type all those really long college papers and SS89...Lenovo isn't my brand personally i prefer HP/Vaio/Apple

People are just going to use them to goof off. About 99% of the people I've seen with PC's in class are just on facebook playing farmville or something instead of paying attention. I mean, that's what end up doing when I bring my PC to class. (minus the farmville part)
So from a teaching standpoint, I think it's a dumb idea. If you like to goof off though, it's a great idea.

Some people in my school have netbooks, they too use them in class for either MSN, facebook etc. Last week my friend got caught watchin 2 girls one cup in class. It was epic when the teacher saw.
