Hi there, I just wanted to say that CH staff is doing a great job dealing with trainers, and I hope it'll be like that for as long as necessary. Really, I want to thank every member otherwise nothing would be the same. If I had only one advise to humbly give that would be to keep concentrating on great games (for the moment i'm thinking of SC:Conviction, AC2, GTA4) and to smartly add more exciting features for each of them to really create a new dimension to the game. I consider a good trainer, a trainer wich besides helping the player, allows him to approach the game differently in a more exciting way ! Trainer builders are Dream sellers ! Trainer makers now need to be smart enough to imagine how to alterate game variables, they must'nt suffice with standard features (god mode + ammo + time block) but extend to many other more interesting and exciting things (IA disable + xyz movement + speed ... and many others depending on the game)

Keep doing a great job. Grateful.

If Caliber sees any scope of creating "Unique" trainer options from games, he does create them. So we don't need to remind him of that.

So kudos to his hard work! And yes, Caliber & Co. has to make 40-50 trainers every month, so even time forbids them to go through the entire game coding of each and every game, and update. But still he is suceeding on doing so!
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

Well, unfortunately we can't concentrate more on these big titles because some people around here think that we don't care about our customers any more if we don't release a trainer for every $5 budget game in less than 2 hours after it's been released. Oh, and god forbid if some other trainer maker decides to kill a Friday night and release their own trainer. Oh, the horror!! Cheat Happens must surely be going under!!

:This post is not in direct relation to the post above it:

I'm curious when it was that some of the moderators and trainer creators became so embittered with the comments and customers overall?

I recall signing up after having quite a few boards fill up with helpful people here. Lately it seems as though a good portion of the "staff" (I'm not sure of the correct lingo here, sorry) have been giving snide answers to comments from customers.

I am not saying that we lowly paid unlimited members cant be annoying, all I'm saying is maybe keep some of the darker answers inside, posting more well-thought-out answers and showing that you _are_ better than that "...dirty thief and liar...", as well as more professional.

Once again, not saying we unlimited's aren't annoying. I'm sure I've ticked a few mods off, and will with this post.

I could very easily see how annoying it could be with members asking for trainers for games that aren't out yet, more trainer options within hours of a new trainer, etc. However, some of the things I've seen *Staff* post in just the last few minutes blows my mind. Not to mention signatures; those same sigs may draw attention to your "competition" rather than detract, essentially nullifying all that this crazy flame war stands for.

Just my two bits. Thanks for your time.

Most of it comes from the fact that 90% of UNL Members expect the trainer developers to be magical wizards that know exactly why their trainer isn't working without providing any explanation. This in turn is almost always solved by the trainer troubleshooting guide which anyone can look-up without requesting the developer's time.

The reality: They're not magical wizards. They are extremely overworked people doing their best to keep up with demand and when they have to take time out to entertain "My trainer isn't working help" with the response "trainer troubleshooting guide", it hinders progress severely. On the off chance that it's a special circumstance, much greater detail would be more appriciated such as:
-What version trainer are you use
-What version of the game you are using
-What Operating System you are using
-Exactly how you tried to activate your trainer in great detail
-Exact error message encountered if any
-Events you did in game that may have caused trainer to suddenly not work.
    -etc etc.

In short: We get irritated at lazy members who don't bother to look at FAQs or resources we put up that solve most problems.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Obviously, I can't fault your logic @Neo7, since you expanded on points that I'd made; with the experience to do so. I appreciate your thoughts on the matter and thank you for joining in this conversation (without flaming or banning me)

No really, you do make a good point and I'm sure you as well as the others have had to deal with some outright ridiculous questions and less-than-average-intelligence when it comes to these boards.

My only concern is that there was a validation, instead of a correction. Granted, none of the other mods has shown up and posted their view- but the answer posted so far basically runs down to "we're tired of it" (I stand to be corrected). If that's the case, why be a mod? That is the role and responsiblity of a board moderator- deal with large amounts of "stupid" (in whichever form it may take).

To clarify; I'm not trying to start anything here. I'm just trying to draw attention to what I believe is an ongoing and growing issue with the boards. I appreciate the "staff" of Cheat Happens and the crap they have to deal with, and am quite content with the product I am provided.

    Thank you for your time.

I suppose we could grit our teeth and force smiles out of irritation for now. It's one of those things that's so dominate, yet can be solve by putting a banner on the posting page saying "If you're posting about a problem with your trainer, see guide here" in a box that's hard to ignore. Tends to have a frustrating effect.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel
