That's what I got asked today, about 15 minutes ago my mom asked me to get her some soda, and I was going to get some cigars so me and my brother go in*he wanted a soda too* so we get the sodas and go up to check out, I ask for my smokes, he asks for my id I give it to him then he asked "is this all together" yes, I pull my debit card out and he looks at my brother, "I need your id too"
my brother-"It's not on me" so then the clerk kind of stares at my brothers tat on his arm, then looks at me funny, leans back..."!..are you a sting?!!?" I laughed hard and said no, grabbed my cigars and left.. that's the first time I've every had a clerk ask anyone else for their ID.. I thought it was just funny I don't even look old enough to be a cop. but I know he asked because their is a camera and it wasn't a life threatening situation, so if I was a cop it would have been entrapment.
