I tried it and it started OK and seemed as though it was working OK but after a few minutes, I think when I changed to a specific gun - I can't remember which one - the game froze and I had to go to Task Manager to stop it as the game was not responding.

Would having the in-game cheats enabled affect the trainer or not?

The game client will stall regardless of whether cheats are enabled or not prior or before using the trainer.

The crash doesn't seem to be limited to any one or combination of enabled trainer options (e.g: Singularly running with infinite health, or the combination of infinite armor with no reload will cause the client to crash. Etc,). =)

Yep, the new trainer causes the client to crash relatively quickly. edit: turning on an option causes the crash

Confirm not working here too. Activates fine and options all seem to work but game crashes after a few minutes of play. Game engine usually displays an error message on crash. Cant remember what it says. Crash only happens if options are active.

Crashes for me, too. Don't remember what I did just before it crashed - sorry.
