hi there i dont know if anyone can help me but i'm looking for the name of a game, its about a space station which was discovered after someone found a ship in a cave on mars and accidentally transported to the station, when he fiddled with the controls on the ship and now the station is inhabited by humans trying to understand what happened to the race that built the station, it turns out they built a shield to hide themselves from a race who dont like other advanced races in the universe but they built it to late for them to use the character you are playing as is given the job to activate the shield. its a text based games with images so u see whats around you

at the end of the game the main character has to defeat a hydra which is done by filling a sack full of the berserk powder and putting it over the one of its heads whilst wearing an invisibility cloak and then it attacks itself

hope some one can help we find the game if if you dont know any suggestions on where else to ask

Dungeons and Dragons Modern?

nope definately wasnt anything to do with dungeons and dragons

it was a game that came free with a magazine it was for a pc and the screen was split into 4 parts one where u wrote one where the image was one with actions available so you could click them with your mouse and i think the other was a balance/ time and location information

i'm thinking 1995 but i'm not sure of the exact year

In all honesty, the chances of you finding a game that was given out in a handout in the back of magazine from 15 years ago is about a billion to one. Unless you find your own copy, there's no way you're going to find it.

if i cant find it via forums i'm think i'll have to email all the magazines i can think of to ask them if they gave it away

You may want to figure out which magazine it was. Going around e-mailing a bunch of different magazine companies sounds like a waste of time.
