I always take the current date and make a mathematical equation out of it. It's a weird habit I've developed. For example, the current date would be 4 - 14 = -10.
But what about the year?

It's the 10, naturally. The dates are usually written out as 4-14-10, so it's just a matter of throwing an equal sign in there. Which, of course, is why not all dates will make sense as a mathematical equation. 4-13-10, yesterday's date, wouldn't work at all. That makes it more interesting when you find one that does work.
