It's back!
Did anyone watch it? Obviously spoilers if you didn't and too much to put in a spoiler tag thingy.
First of all, Matt Smith, I can't really tell if he's any good yet, he seems a lot like David Tennant, but I don't know yet.
Steven Moffat made a lot of changes now he's in control, like the new theme which I don't like that much, the new logo looks good though, and the new TARDIS looks pretty good too, I liked the old one better though.
Steven wrote some of the best episodes so I'm hoping he'll make this series good, and from wathcing the trailer shown at the end of the episodes I'm guessing: Vampires Weeping angel statues Damaged cybermen Daleks in WW2 (with a British flag underneath their eyestalk so we know which side they're fighting for) Advanced technology in WW2 like planes in space and invisible/teleporting soldiers
Anything else didn't stick out enough for me to remember well enough.
Anyway, all Doctor Who relateed discussion here. inb4 no comments because hardly anyone here is from Britain.

Oh bloody el I was just about to make this topic, fairplay though I guess >.>...
Anyhow.. already taking a shine to Matt Smith, I think he's made the role his own from the off unlike Tennant who still seemed very Eccleston-esq for a few episodes. So yeah I think he has great potential and his zany-ness is very much to my liking.
It's probably the best first episode so far (which isn't saying much) the story wasn't brilliant but they had to spend time introducing new characters so that's a given overall still not bad though..
I'm not going to comment on what I saw in the end trailer as lacks any context for which I would need to make any kind of judgment.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I thought you would have made this topic by the time I got on, I actually recorded it, by the time I watched it it was already halfway trhough on normal TV, I guess you're getting slow.
I think this series will be good, not Eccleston's series good, but if the first episode was that good, considering it was a first episode, then the rest should be brilliant, especially since Moffat is writing half of them, remember The Empty Child? I'm hoping they'll be as good as that was.

Good grief, sometimes it sucks to be in Australia. I won't be watching Doctor Who for a few more weeks.
I really hope it'll be good. Or great. Whichever works best.
