I received complaints that the PC boards were not being moderated properly. I agreed with this complaint as I had been asking for help on the PC boards by our current mods for weeks. The help did not come and the PC boards got more and more littered with offtopic, unhelpful complaints and other garbage. So I asked the mods to pick a new mod to help out with the PC boards. Guess who they picked? NO ONE. I waited *2 weeks* for them to make a selection and they did not. So, if someone else was better suited for the job, they certainly didn't make it known, or else I would have promoted THAT person.
HG came to me and wanted to help when no one else was volunteering or being nominated. I desperately needed the help so I made an executive decision to make him a mod to specifically help me out with the PC boards since no one else would.
I don't know HG's back story with this person or that person or any other person on the website. All I know that he is knowledgeable about trainers and so far hasn't done anything to get himself banned.
So, if anyone has a problem with my decision, then feel free to take it up with me or the other mods, not with HG. I already sent one person packing today that didn't want to be here any more.
Not only is he actually the only one willing to help, I believe that he is a great choice. And I'm not only saying that just because he's my father. I'm saying that because its true.
Also, give him a chance. How can you know someone's ability if you don't test them?
Wait, isn't it website policy to not ask about how to become a moderator and how not to bother the founders or the other moderators about it?
Personally I don't even care who becomes a mod and who doesn't, I have no problem with HG, but the part I don't understand is about volunteering and such... was it ever asked of people or at least told to them that they can volunteer for a position of moderator?
It's not like being a mod requires any kind of superpower. You need to know the rules and be able to enforce them on occasion. It's so amazingly difficult that, literally, anyone can do it.
If HG is willing to do what the current mods aren't, then that's great. His familiarity with trainers is only a plus, since noobs will listen to what a guy with gold stars has to say when they ignore everyone else who tries to help them.
The root of the complaint is likely "durrrr, he's only been here two years". As if being a mod is a seniority game.
It really isn't a crime of saying you want to become a moderator. I just sent a single PM saying that the PC section is in disorder and I have enough knowledge to manage it (On how trainers work and stuff, I am not saying that I know everything about trainers).
I am starting to think people are thinking I had a "Make me MOD" button and clicked it. NO! This is not my site, it belongs to PWizard and Nevermore, and its upto them to decide.
If you think I am idiot, its your opinion, so keep it to yourself (I am saying this in general). Fearing me is the last thing you should do.
I really have had enough of these accusations and misunderstandings, which many of you consider to be the true me. Have you come to my house and actually come to know how I am? A few noobish posts, and there you go - This guy/gal is as bad as ****. And not to mention, "Telling others how this guy is!". You will only be offended here if you have done so, cause I am not mentioning anyone. Also don't be in the impression that I would be the reason for you getting banned (If we share some hatred, perhaps?), cause me taking coarse actions on that basis would get my butt kicked. And it would be too immature for me too.
I end it here.

The problem with the peoples is that they think this is a government. This is a business. PWizard is here to make business discussions. They don't realize that he does not have to take their opinions into consideration at all. Not even I have any official power or voice towards PWizard.
