I am at the starting room when first starting a new game. I pick up weapons, pick up health and that is it. The guy wont let me out of the room, neither talk. I can't do anything.

That's as far as you can go....if you're using the cheats! Turn off the cheats, go through to this room again....once you are out of the room, then turn on the cheats! Hope this helps!
