^^ Honestly, I agree. I would prefer it if they could have waited and released all the content along with the game. I mean, think of; they are releasing the PS3 version of ME2 on January 2011... why couldn't they have released all three then?

And the fact that they get all the content we had to pay for, for free... Favorite-ism?

Are they getting all the DLC's we paid for, for free ?
I know that the PS3 is a small user base for ME but why should they not have to pay the prices we have ?

    Anyway.
I am assuming that there is alot to the Liara/SB story that covers the 2 year period, so this could be a fair sized DLC that also contains additions to a fair few story lines that need clearing up. Lets face it, theres a hell of a lot to get through on the main storyline as it is, depending on your choices to.

I also think the Choices you made are a large part of the Liara story, because the different ways in which she acts and goes about her buisness.

Yes I would like it all together, but, playing a new part of ME suits me fine. I cant get on with the Hammerhead, so those side quests will not get done, so need to get the achievement hack for those. I much prefered the Mako.

    Anyway,, back to playing ME2

Size means very little, overall. I mean, look at the Kasumi DLC. It's one of the biggest weighing in at around 1GB but her loyalty mission is maybe an hour. She doesn't even get a spinwheel dialogue, instead she gets the Zaeed style of environment object interaction.

Most of the file size comes down to audio files since almost all the content gets reused. Looking at the screenshots so far for the Shadowbroker, there's not exactly any introduction to some new armor type or new power or even a new environment to fight in. It's all reused background.

If it's a "fair sized" DLC, it will only be fair sized because they made the NPCs talk a lot. If that's justification for the increased cost of the DLC, that's garbage too since all the voice actors that they're using are already contracted anyway. It's not like they're using a new femshep or maleshep voice actor or a new Liara voice actor. If anything, the only new actor they would need is the Shadow Broker and there's nothing preventing them from just having some in house voice actor doing the lines.

The only thing that counts for me is the gameplay. I don't care how big it is or how small it is. Why should file size determine what it should cost? If that's the justification for cost they could simply "forget" to compress the texture files and make it look like all their DLCs are 4GB full releases and say "LOOK AT HOW BIG THESE ARE" and charge 40 dollars for them but that would be absurd.

Paying half the price of what expansions used to cost for 1/10th of the content is money grubbing. I'd be more willing to overlook that but when you consider the "Pinnacle Station" DLC they released for Mass Effect 1 that was just ridiculously buggy and god awful that people bought merely on faith. It's obvious that they are just selling out big time.

Honestly size and money are irrelevant to me so long as the content is good; hours of game-play and story... but that's just me...

Anyway, to answer the "Reused Backgrounds"; yes it is just reused backgrounds, that is what pretty much what makes the entire game. for example; notice, if you will, the "quarian ship" in almost every level. Did you notice them? probably not...

Also, another example; When helping samara, you go into Nef's room, that bed? you wouldn't know to look at normally but it's the same bunk-bed you can see in other locations... that's just a very simple example. But that is how they reuse objects and textures, instead of making completely new ones. It's supposed to make the packages smaller...

Anyway; The choices you made will apparently have some impact on this content... BioWare says it will allow you to continue a "relationship" with Liara... Don't know in what way, yet.

Cool. Now I can't wait for this DLC to come out. Finally a chance to get the Shadow Broker, although the douche/douches could slip away before Shepard has a chance to get him/them... whatever.

    Ayy lmao

Having played it with 4 different Sheps so far,, as I love this DLC,, It is well worth the money and is by far the BEST DLC, even more so than the DA:O ones. One thing I am going to try is doing it AFTER taking out the Collectors to see what, if any, differences there are from doing it before the Omega4 jump.
