He Didn't? An Asteroid hit the Tie Fighters?

I'm being quite lenient with the answers here, the 2 fighters crashed into the huge asteroid but you still get a point.

3) What type of vehicle was used to take Han, Luke, Chewbacca and Lando to the pit of carkoon?
