Quote without quoting the entire msg? on Feedback, Complaints or Problems Message Board - Page 1

I tried looking through the FAQ, and searching the 3 non-title-specific boards, but haven't found anything relevant...

Is it not possible to quote someone without quoting their entire message...? I tried the relatively obvious [quote][/quote] and [q][/q] but they just show up as plain text in the preview.

I don't recall ever seeing a quote that wasn't the entire message, but then I was never really looking for it. I only just today actually went to try to quote only a few lines from someone's message for the first time, but didn't see any obvious way... (sorry if I'm completely missing something blindingly obvious, it's been known to happen)
