So today my father bought me an iPod dock for my iPod classic 160GB.

So he plugged the dock to the switchboard, which had some problems.

So after I plugged in my iPod inside the dock, I felt a mild current through my iPod. I turned off the main switch immediately, but have some fear regarding my iPod - Will it show up any problems in the near future? Both the dock and the iPod are functioning well as of now, all I need is a confirmation that will it do so in the future too?

This is not a poll or any kind of fun topic which requires a majority. I need some expert advice regarding this. And yes I get unnecessarily afraid of my electronic items...

Probably not, it wasn't a surge or anything. The fact that you felt a mild current isn't unnatural, it was charging after all. If it works now, I doubt it'll have any problems in the future.

    Thanks...This saves my soul!

EDIT: The dock I use is not for charging my iPod, its for playing my music (Acts like a speaker).

Did you touch those pods with wet hands? Cause' that may be the reason you felt the current.

if its functioning properly i don't think u're going to have any problems in future. it was probably some extra current and if it had damaged ur ipod then the problem would've manifested almost immediately. so don't worry
