Whoa there, cowboy. That's not evidence of the track being unsafe. If you watched the last Olympics, people flew out of control and flipped all the time on the luge track. That's called "normal". Now, after someone died, their emotions are affecting their interpretation of "normal" experiences.
Yeah of course, but there is a flip and a FLIP. A question have you seen the vids of the other 2 runs I was talking about.
The Italian got lucky from where he came off, if was at a corner he would have been launched like the Georgian guy.
Placing unpadded pillars right next to the most dangerous part of the track is a hazard though.
Im not sure that would have done much in the way of stopping the inevitable, i think being thrown at that speed would kill him in any instance. It also wouldn't stop his internal organs traveling so fast either.
A nasty way to go.
My god, already? I can't believe this.
That track should be removed, period. I'd rather live than even think about risking my life. That guy could've had a family, kids, a mother and father.
I don't care if it means getting gold, lives are priceless, you can't risk that.
(Because words fail me)
Do you ever drive or ride in a car? Well, you just took a greater risk than lugers do.
