Well, the Canadian Women just beat Slovakia 18-0, a record breaking shutout.

This was Slovakia's first Olympics with a womens hockey team, so it's a good achievement for them anyways. They sure started the game with a bang, they were on the Canadian net within seconds of the puck drop. They fought pretty hard the rest of the game too.

The two shorthanded goals within a minute by Canada during the second period were just awesome.

The weather's really messing with the skiing events. It's raining like nuts at the moguls. They had to put tubes full of dry ice under the snow to keep it frozen.

That hockey game was a goddamn disgrace. Canada vs Slovakia. Women's teams. 18-0, final score. Shots were like 67-9.

There should be a slaughter rule.

The Slovaks kept the same goalie in the whole game. That's not right. When I played goalie, if I would have ever had 18 goals against me I would probably have quit the team.

Eh, not surprising. It was their first time, after all. Plus they were against Canada, and Canada losing to first-timers would just be laughable.

It's not like they've never played in international play. They're always there in the World Cup, the IIHF Cup, and the Euro games. It's not that big of a step from that to the Olympics. The only difference is the size of the ice, and it works both ways.

Not that great of a start, aside from the record breaking Hockey Match nearly 2 hours ago. But Charles Hamelin (1500m relay) was eliminated and Jen Heil (Freestyle Skiing) only got a silver.

So, America vs. China today, womens hockey.

America's a powerhouse so I'm sure they'll win but I am curious to see how China does.

NBC apparently doesn't know the difference between Terry Fox and Michael J Fox... Link

Turns out China can't put up a fight against America in womens hockey. Last I checked it was 7-0, and now the live online updates are saying 9-0 in the 3rd period.
