Oh come on this is just getting stupid. Pretending it's not available when it really is is weird. I downloaded it, but only because I also preordered the collector's edition of the game. I don't see the difference between playing what I've paid for now and or later.

The first game didn't support the 360 controller, luckily since the pc version is a port from the 360 version, one fan was able to create the ini files needed to use the 360 controller.

Only downside was not all of the menus are functional with the 360 controller and the camera which you control with the right analog stick can lock up from time to time. Either way the guy did a great job.

But from what I've read at the official Mass Effect forums no there will not be any support for the 360 controller. Although the collectors edition was detailed to have 360 software but what that means I have no idea.

I just hope we can count on the guy who made the ini files for the first game, to make the ini files for the second one, it was thanks to him I was able to fully enjoy Mass Effect.

Not sure if it matters but I heard of quite a few Walmarts selling the game yesterday already.
