Divinity 2: Ego Draconis Message Board  

I just saw it on Steam for a discounted price. Can anyone confirm if the trainer works with the Steam version? I think the offer expires on 1/12/2010. Do you think it is better to get the Steam version or the retail-boxed version (in terms of compatability with the trainer (and future updated versions of the trainer))? Any info on this stuff would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: BTW, I am talking about the USA version of this game. I read that the game was released early in other countries.

none of the trainers are working so far for any of the english versions. let alone the steam version

Update to the 1.03 patch. Then download this exe.

Note the version numbers match. Since some didn't notice the matching version I am gonna assume all are babes in the woods.

Go to your Divinity 2 install directory. Dbl clk on BIN then backup your .exe file for safety. Overwrite with this newer exe. Launch the trainer then launch the game. Enjoy.

just to verify, you are using the eng version of the game?

I got the error message of "incompatible version" when trying the russian fixed .exe file... couldn't even get the game to launch

you didn't by chance get one of the other versions and use the english or language patch did you?

Here is the US retail version of the exe, patched to 1.3.13.100.

yES IT WAS THE ENGLISH VERSION. bOUGHT IT EARLY AT ebGAMES. Sorry bout weird punctuation. Damn caps lock. anyways yeah updated via gamespot today to 1.03. Then went to gamecopyworld after someone else posted about the nodvd exe. Copied over my exe and it waorks fine. Been playing since I posted hence the late reply.

alright, thanks for the response i'll give it another go with the russian .exe file

after replacing the original .exe did you receive any errors or did it just work with no problems at all?
