X3: Terran Conflict Message Board  

Hey guys my bro got X3 Terran Conflict, first time install the new patch 2.5 but for some reason the game takes long load and at the main screen it locks up and freezes. So i tried installing without the patch and still no work. Any ideas?

2 gig
sp3
All drivers are up to date

Hello, I have the same problem, it just hangs at the main screen, I have tried the troubleshooting procedures in the manual but no luck so far.

Have him check compatibility mode and try again. Also, go Full Screen instead of Windowed.

It may be a long shot, and seemingly unrelated, but try with/without EAX audio support. Update your drivers too, particularly audio and graphics; although motherboard and other drivers wouldn't be a bad idea either. Some games are just very sensitive in this regard.
