Mine just quits to desktop at random intervals while playing.. no error messages.. just quits.

mine started doing that again after i re-instaled it, i went to l4d2 properties under local files hit verify integrity of game cache. it will scan your game for missing files i was missing 2 it re-downloaded the 2 files and works fine now.
where is the local files? i believe it is under hidden files in documents n settings in XP right? the problem is i dont know how 2 dig up the local files in vista. i also got the same crashing like thndr143. it sucks i still cannot play the game with trainer on.
