Off-Topic Discussions

Yeah I guess that's fine, but when certain members constantly does it...

I never do that, I always give my opinion and make it plain that no one else's is valid.

I don't really see the problem with it. Make a topic, and spark a discussion. Who cares if the post doesn't have much content. This is how I usually start discussions. Perhaps I don't have a strong opinion yet, and I want too see how the various sides are argued. Even if you're not planning to argue, sparking intelligent discussion is good. Half of the good discussions around here come from the news. In my opinion, we don't need another reason to remove intelligent discussion from the boards. There isn't enough of it, and some of us are resorting to getting it where we can.
