I grabbed the Steam Collector's edition with all the goodies. I was going to get the Collector's Edition from EB Games (now owned by Game Stop) but once i saw what steam had i took that instead... + my foot is in a cast so i cant get out of the house right now. but I'm looking forward to down loading it and doing some serious gaming for about a week... like all 8+ hours a day...
I was thinking of getting the digital deluxe version as its cheaper and faster than getting the retail, but now that I see there's a cloth map and metal case included I am not so sure anymore.
Should I go for digital (Gamersgate, Steam, Impulse?) or for retail? (wait for it to arrive in Israeli stores and buy it for 88$, or order from the UK which might be cheaper but will take even more time to arrive)
@crimsoneyes wow thats a great price! makes me envious that I cant speak/read Thai now lol only downside I guess would be that the Collector's is like 2x+ more than the regular retail version I suppose.(still cheaper than in US tho)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- no... it's NOT meant to work online in games(don't get yourself banned from the maker and waste your money) ;)
Also please DON'T ask me to email you a copy of a trainer. thanks!(your message will be ignored)

Your help would be appreciated
if you're into the bonus map/case etc, you might want to order it from a store online(you'll get more for it). I'd recommend Gamestop, but you would probably be able to get it waaaaaaaaaay cheaper from a store closer to you(shipping might kill the fun)
if you're going to order it as a download tho, you may want to get the one from EA.com or Steam(looks like Gamersgate is offering same items as EA.Com one)
now according to a search online, looks like UK's Game is offering the CE at £39.99, but it comes in a regular plastic box, not the metal one. Item bonuses are included tho. I'll update it on the 1st post as well. Site says free shipping to UK.
Game.co.uk(UK): Dalish Ring - +healing effects/-damage from darkspawn attacks/+combat health regeneration Formari Memory Band - +1% to XP/+1 skill point

I've ordered the collectors edition from Game (UK) with next day service, but am considering the Direct 2 Drive Digital Deluxe version so I can play it as soon as it's released. I've taken the Friday off so I don't have any interruptions!
I watched the 24 hour online tournament and can't wait to get my hands on this now...
@mikoto: Thanks. It is annoying that the UK CE version has a plastic rather than metal box. The UK version of games are the ones we get in stores in Israel. I guess I have 3 days to make the decision of whether to pre-order from a digital or retail distributor
EDIT: According to Game.co.uk's website listing, the CE does not come with a map, and only a plastic box. Are they mistaken? the entire point of having the CE for more money is having the map&metal-case (the extra dvd with the documentary is worthless).

2nd EDIT: It now seems that the game has "lost its price" on Gamersgate, and is no longer available for pre-order. Neither the 3rd Nov or 6th nov version. Ohh well, guess I won't be purchasing from them then. So Steam, Impulse or Retail are left.
I wondered about the plastic box thing from Game UK too, but if it's a collector's edition, it's a collector's edition I would have thought. It's a shame that they have caused such confusion by having all these different packages. I guess I will just have to wait and see, as I don't want to lose my place in the pre-order queue.
Amazon shipped my order today and I will get it tomorrow since it's shipping to me from Delaware, and will be out for delivery on the 2nd. Steam releases the game on the 3rd, putting me 1 day ahead of Steam. The ramifications of that could prove crucial to what cheat we get. Boxed or Steam.
Here's what I got for my pre-order for my PC Collector's Edition.
Pre-order Bonuses Pre-order Dragon Age: Origins Collector's Edition and get (1) The Lion's Paw boots which add to armor, dodge, and evading missiles stats, (2) Memory Band which add 1% to Experience Points and one skill point, and (3) Blood Dragon Armor, which grants exceptional protection in combat, for use in Dragon Age: Origins as well as in Mass Effect 2.
