Updating Patch Problem

I'm having a problem with updating my Soul Storm patch from 1.0 to 1.1 and 1.1 to 1.2. It says I don't have a valid copy of Dawn of War installed on my computer. Well... I do. Is it the fact that my Dawn of War copy is a digital download? Or are the patch updates just being stupid?
