I used the Cheat Happens Trainer Manager software and paid $6.95 (USD)today just to get a hold of the Spore V1.5.001 (not GA) trainer. I expirience the exact same issue with a crashing game when I try to use the trainer (which is custimized to me). I am suspecting that my custimized version has the same error as the original one had. I just paid a lot of dollars for my trainer... how am I supposed to get it to work?
What version of the game are you using? Trainer only supports RETAIL version and not any digital download version, which has been mentioned several times.
BTW, you paid for the TRAINER MANAGER, the trainer was a FREE GIFT.

Thank you fo a quick reply! Yes I bought the manager and go the free gift, but I did it to get the free gift and not the other way around.
I have the retail game and original DVD for both the game and creepy&cute... I made sure I installed the v 5 patch (1.5) so everything should work... But it doesn't.
I am thinking that the file I downloaded for free yesterday is the old version of the trainer... made before the quick fix mention in this message board. When you made the fix for the trainer and changed the download file here, you did not change the file which is downloaded when you get is as a free gift?
That is basically the only thing I can figure that would make this happen as I get the exact same crash and bug as mentioned in this thread... Well that is my guess anyways.
I hope this is solvable... Maby you could send me a copy of the working file or something?
You have the correct version of the trainer. Make sure you have the 1.5.0001 version of the game. All of our downloads are instantly updated. You can re-download your file as many times as you like.

After checking and rechecking it turns out i had the v 1.5 and not the 1.5.1. After manually updating the trainer worked perfectly. My deepest apologiez for taking valuble time... I feel quite daft. Thank you for swift replies and a great trainer!
