Catthing, thanks a lot for taking out the time to reply to my problem. I did what you said, however, when I run the game; there is no other process hogging as much memory as the game does itself. The second most brutal process on my memory was Explorer without which no Windows OS would work. Besides, its not about the resources, I think; knowing I have memory to burn(got 4 GB of it, cmon it should be enough). I thing it has more to do with the game than anything else, however still if there is anything that you may suggest, it is more than welcome. I would not expect myself to play this game in near future though, considering what kinda buggy history it has, great game nonetheless. Once again, thanks a lot. Take Care

Hey, everyone. Its me again. Catthing, you're a real dude. Guess what, after 35 days of struggle, I finally managed to get the game running, that too at rate of knots. It turned out that it was none other than my antivirus(Kaspersky) which was causing all the problems. I had to disable it and as soon as I did that, game ran like hell. I have been playing it for the last three hrs now, and that is some game I tell you. It was not Nero's index search but a memory hogging program(antivirus), none the less, which caused all the troubles and thanks to your great suggestion, I finally figured it out. Couldn't have done without you. Also, a million thanks to Honest Gamer and Slick who took out the time to feed me with those valuable suggestions. I know where to look, next time I get a problem with these games. Thanks again, take care guys. You rock.

Yep, I am done with it. Sure as hell, I am. As a matter of fact, I was done with it in 12 hrs as soon as I got it to work, I played the game for 10 hrs straight as there was a warning from my brother that if I dont finish it in two days, he would start playing it and ruin the fun for me. Man, that got me going, what a game it was, really out of this world. It is such as pity that there has not been any Gears of War 2 for pc, man; that sucks big time. Hopefully, we will see that soon. Thanx for replying dude. As for the game's beauty, it was the finest alien asskicking I did in ages. I still cant forget those tactics of taking cover and shooting them in the face

The games simply awesome classic one i would say.
