Hello all, hope everyone is good and well.

I will get straight to the point.

The problem I am getting is this.....

"Your Graphics Card does not meet The Godfather 2 minimum requirements." As soon as I try and start the game it comes up with that error.

When I first saw this error I was amazed because I knew that my graphics card surpassed the minimum requirements. And if it didn't I wouldn't have bought the game in the first place.

The minimum requirements (from what it says on the game case) is Nvidia Geforce 6800 or better or ATI X1600 Pro or better.

Now I have a Nvidia Geforce 9800GX2 which as I said above surpasses the minimum requirements by a long mile.

Right now I have the 185.68 drivers installed which is the latest drivers out right now. So I thought to myself maybe it doesn't like the latest, so I tried the previous drivers such as the 185.66, 182.50 and the 182.47 all to no prevail.

Next I said to myself, maybe it doesn't like my OS (which is Vista 64-bit and XP SP3 (dual boot). so I logged into XP and tried to run the game again, to no prevail.

Next I said to myself, maybe it doesn't like my computer system being all new and all. (had previous problems before with other games) I have a Intel Core i7 965 system. So I decided to install the game on another machine with a different system (AMD Athlon 64 X2) thinking if it doesn't like Intel maybe AMD might do the trick, but yet again, no prevail.

Now I am out of ideas (besides buying another graphics card(s), and can't fix the problem myself and thus I have decided that I must seek help from others and what better place then here since this site is where it all happens. Everyone comes here to review/have their thoughts on just about everything.

Thank you for reading all of the above. If you need any more information in which you think might help in solving this problem I am having, or you know the problem I am having and know the cure, I will be glad to hear from you so I can finally play this game.

Funny thing is. I had no problems with playing the previous version (The Godfather) and everyone had graphics problems with that, maybe it skipped a generation with me, lol. Maybe that "cure" might fix this problem I am having, just have to make it compatiable with this game instead. Who knows.

Hope to hear from someone as I would love to play this game.

Until then I bid you all aduei.

    Regards,

    Luca25.

Hello again all, hope everyone is still good and well.

Just recapping to my graphics problem I was having. I decided to reinstall windows again and start from scratch again. Basically I tried to play another game that I bought and it wouldn't play.

And as soon as I reinstalled windows and got everything back to how it was I installed the game and voila it played in an instant.
And I tried the other game and that too after installation played.

So in the end of the day all is well again.
    Well..... Until next time, bahahahaha.

Until then I bid you all adieu.

Take care of yourself and each other and game on.

    Ciao,

    Regards,

    Luca25.

I'm glad you got that game working I understand the frustration of not being able to play a game that you just bought and really want to play. So now that you have had some time play it what do you think of it?

Hello there Dlenny2259, how are you?

Thank you for messaging me in regards to my post.

Yes, I finally was able to play the game and I enjoyed the game.
It was worth all the trouble I had to go through to play it.

Comments about the game (I think most people have covered already) the game could have been better layout. The graphics are the same as GTA4, the sound is okay but nothing special, the mapping is slightly small, the game is short and other things here and there people have come up with.

In the end of the day the game is playable and worth buying/downloading. You need to use strategy in knowing what "family member" you have to use and who to send to defend/attack. Also the game makes you (as the saying goes) "act like a mobster, think like a don".

I will give the game a generous rating of 7/10.

    Regards, Luca25
