I got Fear 2 working had to delete it and reload it. I'm betting that is what I'll have to do with left for dead to get it working with the new trainer. The way I did it was by going into steam deleting the contents of the game there and then reload the game.
It worked; Having no problems with the trainer now.

LOL ive got the trainer to work. it seems I had a corrupt game file
