new patch screwed up sound???

    ok so idk what happen but for some odd reason when i downloaded the new patch for CoD WaW that took forever it seemed. well after i downloaded it an all i went to play with a fellow clanmate an i have no sound. i have sound for other games an all other sound works but yet when i try to play WaW now i have no sound. is ne body else haveing this problem or can any one else help me here plz

    patch is just out, but havn't installed it. You may have to run the default settings for your sound/graphics to see if you can get it back.

    do you have onboard or separate audio card?? it think you can run COD in safe mode to test / reset settings.

    Well you could tell us what OS your running, ie: Vista or XP? If you have Vista here's one work around for sound on 1.2 patch:

    You will need to:

    try this => start, configuration, sound, speakers, advanced -> set it to 16 bits - 44100/48000 hz

    If your using XFI sopund card try this:

    It appears they fixed sound for guys running older hardware but screwed up the X-FI users... Demands for a hotfix I believe are not out of the question...

    VISTA SOUND FIX

    Lower your sound quality to 16bit 44,100mhz

    Do the same for your mic...

    Also when making sound setting adjustments with X-FI run the sound checks in both the speaker area and recording area.
