There is a program from CH to change the keys in the trainers. Worked for me in another game.
I know, but why not just use the symbol keys instead of the numbered keys, as the symbols are rarely used in games unlike the numbered keys...

It will make other keys work , but it don't delete exist!!!
They work after changing, so it brings nothing.
Hi all,
I wonder if I may please ask the GREAT and FANTASTIC Builders of the Trainers a small question/favour please...
Is there any set reason as to why the standard trainer uses the numbers on the keypad instead of maybe using the keypad's / * - + . keys...
Reason i ask is that whilst using things like the Helicopter you have to use the keypad numbers which then causes the game to crash due to over use of the trainer keys...
Many thanks for being such Brilliant and Super People who make my gaming past times a pleasure and not a burden...
You could try turning Num-lock off then map the keypad for the helicopter controls. Then when you use trainer the num-lock acts as a kind of toggle to what you want the numbers on the keypad to react to -
Num ON = trainer
Num OFF = copter.

Cool idea, but one problem, though. If you turn num-lock off, you can't use any of the keys on the num-pad.
