I absolutely love this game, I found Mass Effect to be short and lacking. The characters have a lot of dialogue in comparison. I would say this is like a longer spiritual successor to Jade Empire/Baldurs Gate.
Bioware has always had trouble with character designs and animations especially. Death animation is the same for everyone, standing, and walking during battle. It gets rather awkward, especially for female party members, whose animation for the IDLE stands leaves a large gap between the arm and the body.
I'm not too fond of the fantasy genre, but the dialogue and script wins me over. I'm heavily into multiplayer games, and I couldn't stand playing games in Oblivion and Fallout 3 where you feel so alone all the time(even with companions). This game does a good job of not making you feel alone.
Hmm... This time Biowear fail sadly but true! For me Dragon age wasen't what I excpeted. even worse ... But that's me and I hope some ppl like that game!
I can understand that some people are skeptical about this latest release from Bioware, I know I definitely was, but I can't put the damn thing down. If you've enjoyed Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights, this will actually blow you away. Spoken dialogue for everyone in the game, a great story, great voice actors (Flynn and Chloe from Uncharted 2). Not too broad or linear in the path that you can take.
