PS. I believe while testing it, you can still get 'caught' by police if they 'touch' you before you lower your stars
HP seems to be ok while driving, but I still seem to take 'hits' when getting shot at(will test this a bit further..) >got killed while 'swimming' away from police
You can press a key to stop them from busting you when you put your hands up while on foot, I believe it's Shift on the keyboard... not sure about everyone else but that's what it told me to press near the beginning of the game. However, I had modified my keybinds before I ever started story mode so who knows.
Infinite HP worked for me both while driving and while being shot at (even though Niko will jerk and show blood-wounds and blood will even get on the "camera" sometimes) but so far I've only died from blowing up the car I was in (held a grenade too long while going too slow), jumping out of a chopper (if the screen turns grayscale you die regardless), and somehow when I drove a car down the beach and tried to jump out right before I hit the water... still not sure why it "killed" me on that one.
