I´ve been getting the FATAL ERROR... on Grand Theft Auto 4 (GTA 4) PC Message Board - Page 1

It's incredibly annoying. Every time I start the game, fatal error appears.

I bought the game, and I'm not using XP SP3 nor Vista. Could it be because I'm using XP SP2?

Possibly.

Check to see if your GPU's drivers are up to date, it's likely that they may be causing a problem.

You must have one of these OS on your computer for GTA IV.

Vista with sp1 or XP with sp 3.I cannot play GTA IV on XP servise pack 2 but im playing that game on vista sp1.

You need to have SP3 installed if you are using XP. Also, if the error keeps appearing, log out of the Rockstar Games Social Club. Apparently, Rockstar were having issues with there servers.
