kk thx but i have a new problem.... it says need sound card to run and i have one so wat do i do ?

I guess you are using windows XP? In that case, you are required to have SP3 installed before you can run the game I used to get that error, but after installing SP3 it all went smooth...

FATAL ERROR:RMN40
is the error u get when u dont have sp3.

Go to GTA IV install folder right click on LAunch GTAIV and Select properties and then go to `Complatibility`and select Run this program in Windows 2000.Do this if you have `RMN40` erorr.Sorry for my bad english i hope that you understand.Say if this works for you.
