caliber or PW I NEED YOUR HELP

im seaching for the file ( think its a cfg file) when you can addapt the quality of the game
for some reason windows live thinks i have 599mb of memory
and thats quite wrong, since i have 4 gig ram and an 3870x2 + HD3870 in crossfirex mode
i want to change this because my game runs smooth, but i want to go as high as possible
and now the game doesnt let me since the damn windows things im low on mem
is this fixable? thanks caliber & PWizard

You should create a new (or modify the existing) shortcut and add "-norestrictions" to the end of it, that should allow you to set options as you like it.

i cant do this with the original exe?
game looks cool though, its a huge difference btween san andreas and gta 4

To get the settings you want (even if the game doesn't want you to use them) you have to use the -norestrictions trigger. It let me crank my settings with my 8800GTS with only 320MB.

And your 4 gigs of RAM don't matter, it wants to load the textures into your vram. With my settings cranked textures tend to load and unload randomly around me.

This game seems to run like dogcrap for me on a quad core 3ghz, 4gb of ram and 8800GTX/SLI. I know the game doesnt support SLI yet, but even at really low settings I get what looks to be 15fps.

well u2 are using nvidia card, use nhancer
and force gta4 to use sli and all that stuff
i have rays ati stuff, but thanks mate for that shortcut thingy

btw short edit, do i have to space it before usint the code?

and do i have to use this on the original file?

the basic thing i want is to go beyond the warning you have to low mem ingame message so you cant put everything to the max,while i can, ( something like holding back)
